Recently, I had the opportunity to embark on a thrilling jewellery buying trip to India, where I explored the diverse range of gemstones and negotiated with local stone dealers in the vibrant jewellery bazaars across the country. My journey took me to some of the most enchanting destinations in Rajasthan, including Pushkar and Jaipur.
Pushkar is a holy city that boasts an array of temples, holy lakes, and narrow alleys lined with shops selling jewellery, textiles, and handicrafts. Here, I had the chance to experience the thrill of selecting gemstones and negotiating with local stone dealers in the bustling bazaars. The vibrant colours and intricate designs of the jewellery were a sight to behold, and I couldn't resist picking up some stunning pieces to add to my collection.
Moving on to Jaipur, also known as the Pink City, I was fascinated by the beauty of the architecture and the richness of the cultural heritage. Jaipur is famous for its jewellery-making industry, and I had the privilege of presenting my designs to skilled artisans and talking to them about bringing my collections to life. Watching them work their magic and seeing my designs come to fruition was an unforgettable experience.
One of the highlights of my trip was the photoshoots we had with local models. They wore our jewellery pieces beautifully, and the images captured the essence of the rich cultural heritage of India. The vibrant colours and intricate designs of the jewellery complemented the traditional attire of the models, and the result was a mesmerising visual treat.
Apart from jewellery shopping and design, we also explored the numerous temples, palaces, and forts that India has to offer. The intricate carvings, stunning architecture, and rich history of these structures left me in awe. From the Amber Fort to the Hawa Mahal, each destination had its unique charm, and I was thrilled to witness it all.
In conclusion, my jewellery buying trip to India was an experience of a lifetime. From selecting gemstones and negotiating with local stone dealers to presenting our designs and talking to makers to bring our collections to life, the journey was full of excitement and thrill. The photoshoots with local models and the exploration of the magnificent temples and forts added to the magic of the trip. I can't wait to go back and experience it all over again.
